Thief
Once upon a time, there was a thief. Every night, he jumped over the wall into a wealthy man's garden and stole his fruit. The wealthy man became aware of this and decided to put an end to it. He went to the market and bought a big, fierce dog.
That night, when the thief jumped over the wall, the dog started barking. The thief tried to run away, but the dog chased him and caught him by the leg. The thief cried out in pain, "Please let me go. I promise to never come back again."
The wealthy man heard the commotion and called out to the thief, "I will let you go, but only if you promise to stop stealing from me and turn over a new leaf."
The thief agreed, and the wealthy man kept his promise. From then on, the thief never stole again and became an honest man.
